I had my first foray into the world of photojournalism (actual newspaper, not wedding-style) thanks to Sadhu Johnston and Manda Gillespie. They are both Oberlin grads who are making waves in the world due to their commitment and creativity with environmentalism. Sadhu has just accepted a position as new Deputy City Manager with a focus on the green agenda for Vancouver, BC, CANADA. He is leaving his current position as Chicago’s chief environmental officer for this new position.
Manda Gillespie is the creator of thegreenmama, environmental consulting and inspiration.
Manda and Sadhu contacted me to find out if I would be able to create some photos for the Vancouver Sun while they were in Oberlin for the EnviroAlums Weekend.
The timing worked out and here is the resulting article.
Best of luck to your whole family and keep innovating and inspiring!

Nice job, T. Rosen! And I’m excited to know a couple of great Obies are moving to the Cascadia bioregion.
