Sara Ann + Ryan – Fairchild Chapel Wedding and Hotel at Oberlin Brunch Reception

Sara Ann and Ryan met at Oberlin College. They survived long distance dating for 18 months while planning their wedding. Since Oberlin was so special to them and they were at a transitional point in their lives, they decided to have their ceremony at Fairchild Chapel with a brunch reception at the Hotel at Oberlin before moving on into the next phase of their lives. Sara Ann was presented with a gorgeous miniature family bible by her grandmother. The names and dates of important family events were all recorded inside. When the ladies were ready, Sara Ann and her mother came down the stairs of the Hotel at Oberlin and Sara Ann’s father got to see her for the first time that day. The happy tears were flowing! Sara Ann and Ryan’s dogs Flyer and Faith were their Ring Bearer and Flower Girl and wore gorgeous flower and greenery wreaths from Off Broadway Florists around their necks. The ring pillow was hand made out of Sara Ann’s mother’s wedding dress by Julianne’s Alterations. The couple’s officiant was Ryan’s father. Their dear friend John, read from Origins of Love, from Plato’s Symposium. Sara Ann’s Aunt Diane Lang sang beautifully at the wedding. After an emotional and funny ceremony, we took family and couple photos and then headed over to the Hotel to celebrate with brunch and mimosas! Sara Ann and Ryan thoughts of so many fun and wonderful ideas. Instead of a traditional multi-tier cake, they had a Donut Tier made from Donut Land donuts with a Blue Rooster cake on top! They literally had Doggie Treats to take home for guests’ furry friends! Sara Ann tells me that after the wedding, she, Ryan and their dogs walked over to Cowhaus Creamery and got ice cream for themselves and the pups. They enjoyed the ice cream and walked through Tappan Square in their gorgeous wedding outfits. Sounds like the perfect ending to a perfect day.
