Alicia + David – Bay Pointe Inn Wedding in Shelbyville, Michigan

David and Alicia are such a lovely couple! They met at Oberlin College during Winter Term of their freshman year in a dorm called Third World House. They were friends for a long time until they both realized their friendship had developed into something more. You can view their engagement photos taken at Oberlin College here.
From the outside they seem like polar opposites. David is very quiet and shy while Alicia is very outgoing and social. But, as the adage goes, opposites attract. Or as I like to phrase it, opposites compliment each other and bring out the best in each other. The couple also has many similarities including their warm and generous hearts, loving families and incredible friends.
Their wedding was full of love and fun and we had the most gorgeous Fall day. It was worth the drive! The entire ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were held lakeside. There were so many lovely details from the beautiful flower-covered arch overlooking the lake, to the beautiful guestbook and ring plate. The cake was a showstopper and so delicious. All the music was provided by the couple’s good friends who were also members of the wedding party. There was a breathtaking sunset and while the temperatures dropped into a chilly Fall night, the heaters and fire pit kept everyone warm and toasty inside the tent.
