Laura and Ali got married in the backyard of her Uncle and Aunt’s house in Oberlin. It was a gorgeous setting complete with a tent and multiple areas with things for their guests to do. I was connected with them because I had photographed her cousin’s senior session back in 2011. Laura and Ali are super cool and very creative and you can see touches of this creativity throughout their wedding details. Laura is a designer and wordpress expert and Ali specializes in 3D animation.
The couple decided on a first look to calm their nerves and we coordinated this in an upstairs hallway of the house. Ali was blown away by his gorgeous bride. I loved the fun sense of style and color they both added to their outfits. Laura custom died her shoes two different colors. They encouraged their guests to put button “flair” on to represent their own personalities. The ceremony was very emotional, but still whimsical.
Ali is from Iran and the couple incorporated some Persian traditions in the wedding celebration. His aunt made Laura’s wedding dress and the family provided delicious Persian food and sweets. It was an amazing day!
