Tiara's Senior Session
Tiara is an amazing young woman. She is going places - for sure! She has a great sense of self and personal style - and she is a lot of fun to be around. We had a blast taking photos and I absolutely love them all. Here are some of my favorites.

Anna is a wonderful grad. Not only is she undeniably beautiful, but she is super sweet and down-to-earth. I think she looks like Charlize Theron and used to be a ballet dancer too

Jessica's Senior Session
Jessica's family approached me to create senior portraits that reflected her personality and style. We did some photos in the studio as well as around town. The only prop she brought in was the controller to her Xbox. Loved it!

Emma's Senior Session
Emma is a really cool young woman. She has a real elegance and grace to her and a real ease as well. She wasn't crazy about having her portrait done, but she was game for anything I wanted to try.

Erin M's Senior Session
Erin is a senior at Oberlin High School. She is also literally the tiniest girl I think I have ever seen. She came out for her senior session during a frigid late January day and braved the elements to get some cool shots at the Apollo Theater (where she works). The manager was even so kind as to put her name and class year on the marque. So cool.

Sara's Senior Session
Sara came in with a bunch of outfits including her AMAZING prom dress. Right away I started having visions of her wearing this gorgeous dress in a field and at some of my other favorite locations.

Karen's Senior Session
Karen is a super sweet, bubbly girl. The hardest thing we did all day was to take photos WITHOUT her smiling. She has an infectious smile and was very easy going about locations. She brought her best friend Dyani along for the photo session - for moral support, as well as a few best friends photos.

Alyssa's Senior Session
Alyssa is amazing. She is this pint-sized girl who just believes in herself and it really shines through. She is gorgeous, no doubt, but she has a whole lot more going for her that looks alone. I had a great time getting to know her and capturing some incredible images of this important time in her life. Alyssa wanted to start her session at Cascade Park in Elyria because it holds a special place in her heart because it has been an important place for her family for years. We found all kinds of great spots there and then headed back to my studio. On the way back to town, I suggested we stop in a field and do some softball shots.

Sarah is so cute! She is just super bubbly and easy-going. We wanted her senior session to capture her spirit and we started with hair and makeup with Marissa at Adeva Salon and Spa in Oberlin and went super natural - like Sarah.

Rachel's Grad Session
Rachel is a recent graduate of Oberlin College and she is leaving town soon to move off into the world. She contacted me because she had never had a senior portrait taken in highschool because her choices had been the traditional cheesy background shots that you see at the generic photography studios. That hadn't appealed to her at all. But Rachel is smart enough to realize how important it is to document yourself at a young age and what better way than to commemorate the important moment of graduating from college.

The Ultra Senior Session
I wanted to take the idea of a "Trash the Dress" session, but instead of a bride wearing her wedding dress, I would take some of my favorite recent seniors and take them out in their prom dresses. To tell the truth, while I love the images often obtained during a TTD session, I have been hesitant to potentially ruin an expensive wedding dress. So a prom dress was perfect because the girls would probably NOT be wearing them again and if some of the dresses got ruined, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Eliza's Senior Session
So, we started out in my studio and took advantage of my fun fabric selection as backdrops, then we headed out into nature to find some cool locations. We selected an amazing abandoned farm, a beautiful field and a cool fence. I love offering a variety of images for my seniors and their families to choose from. Everyone is happy and it is super fun as well.

Hannah J.'s Senior Session
I was happy to create images of Hannah. She is fun and free-spirited and has a great sense of style. She wanted something classic, but was willing to play around with some of my ideas. I think we hit it out of the park. The images I got in my studio (which was my first official session in my new space, btw) are gorgeous and remind me of Brigette Bardot on the one hand, and Doris Day on the other. Just classy and gorgeous.
