Shelly's Headshots
I also had the pleasure of doing my first Harpist Headshot. What a beautiful instrument. I don't think I have ever heard a solo harp performance before either. It was amazing.

Kat's Headshots
For theater headshots it is really important to figure out what your casting type is. You need to create a look that works for how you tend to be cast. This is something I work on when photographing actors. We try different outfits, expressions, etc. until we get that winning image and I always want some feeling in the eyes.

Oberlin College and Conservatory Headshots
So I have recently been doing a lot of headshots for Vocal Performance students in the Conservatory and I have started doing theater department headshots as well. In an attempt to catch up a bit on blogging, here are a couple of my favorites from each of my recent sessions. I am loving getting to know so many students and help them get a good footing on their way into "the real world" outside of Oberlin. My headshot sessions are very affordable and you get a lot for your money as well. Call or email if you have any questions.

Kevin Ray's Headshots
The challenge with photographing an opera singer is that you have to convey drama and personality and spirit with just their face. You don't have their instrument to rely on to tell the viewer what they do. The photo has to catch your eye and draw you in.
